4. Facing the Nugget Bridge challenge: After leaving Cerulean City, you'll need to head south and then east. Here you'll face the Nugget Bridge, a bridge populated by trainers who are eager to test your skills. This is a great opportunity to earn some extra experience for your Pokémon. At the end of the bridge, you'll find a rewarding Nugget, which you can sell for a good price at any Poké Mart.


5. Journey through the Underground Passage: After crossing Nugget Bridge, continue heading east. You'll soon come across the entrance to the Underground Passage, a long tunnel that runs underneath a bike path. This tunnel is an optional route, but it's a good idea to take it, as it's the only way to reach Lavender Town later in the game. You'll need the HM Flash to navigate the pitch-black tunnels, though.

However, you'll need a specific item later in the game to truly help the Pokémon residing there.
