Hi there! I'm a seasoned Pokemon trainer, having explored Kanto more times than I can count. People come to me for all sorts of advice, from team building to, you guessed it, finding elusive items. So, you want to know about getting a bike in FireRed? You've come to the right place!

Let's be real, walking everywhere in Pokemon gets old fast. You need the speed, the freedom, the wind in your hair (or at least not in your face). Here's the thing about the bike in FireRed: you can't just find one lying around or buy it in a shop. You're gonna have to earn it.

Head to Cerulean City: First things first, make your way to Cerulean City. You know, the one with the north-south water route and the gym with the *lovely* Misty and her Water Pokemon? Yeah, that's the one.

Challenge the Gym: Now, you can't just waltz in and demand a bike, even if you are a Pokemon master in the making. You're going to have to prove your worth by defeating Misty and earning the Cascade Badge. Don't underestimate her Starmie; it packs a punch!

The Bike Voucher: Okay, so you've beaten Misty, got your badge, and you're feeling good. Now head east out of Cerulean City and you'll run into a building that looks suspiciously like a bike shop.
This is the Pokemon Fan Club. I know, I know, doesn't sound like the place to get a bike, right? Bear with me.

The Pokemon Fan Club President: Go inside and talk to the president of the fan club. He's a bit... enthusiastic... about Pokemon. But he's a nice guy, really. Turns out, he's got a Bike Voucher that he's willing to part with. Now, you might think he'll just give it to you, but you've helped him out before, remember? Exactly, he's going to make you work for it a little.

Show off your Pokemon: The Pokemon Fan Club president *loves* to talk Pokemon. And he especially loves to hear about other trainers' Pokemon. So, indulge him! Show him a strong Pokemon in your party, something impressive. Think high level, evolved Pokemon, maybe even a rare catch. Once he's sufficiently impressed, he'll happily hand over the Bike Voucher.

Back to Cerulean: Head back west to Cerulean City and into the building that actually looks like a bike shop this time - it's just south of the Pokemon Center. The shop owner will happily take your Bike Voucher and give you a shiny new Bicycle in return!

Freedom Awaits: Congratulations, my friend! You're now the proud owner of a Bicycle! Enjoy cruising around Kanto at twice the speed, getting to your next Pokemon adventure in half the time.
