2. Traverse Mt. Moon: Route 3 will lead you to the entrance of Mt. Moon. Be prepared for a dimly lit cave filled with Rock and Zubat type Pokémon. It's also where you might encounter the elusive Clefairy. Remember to grab a Fossil (either the Dome or Helix Fossil) from one of the scientists here – you'll need it later.


3. Exit through Route 4: After navigating through Mt. Moon, you'll emerge onto Route 4. Continue eastwards. You'll pass by the entrance to the Rock Tunnel (don't enter yet!) and a house where you can obtain HM05 (Flash), which is necessary for navigating Rock Tunnel's darkness.


4. Reach Cerulean City: Further east on Route 4 lies Cerulean City, home to Misty and her Water-type Pokémon Gym. Before challenging Misty, it's recommended to train your Pokémon to at least level 15-20, particularly if you have Grass or Electric-type Pokémon.


5. Challenge Misty: Defeating Misty will earn you the Cascade Badge and allow you to use Cut outside of battle. This HM is crucial for proceeding.


6. Proceed South to Route 5: After your victory at the Cerulean Gym, head south from Cerulean City onto Route 5. This route features several trainers and a Pokémon Day Care where you can leave your Pokémon to gain experience.
