How to restrict background data usage**1. Identify the apps using the most data in the background.**
Go to Settings > Cellular, then scroll down to see a list of apps and how much cellular data they've used in the background.
**2. Disable background data for individual apps.**
Once you've identified the apps that are using the most data in the background, you can disable background data for those apps individually. Go to Settings > Cellular, then tap on the app you want to restrict. Under "Cellular Data Options," tap the toggle switch next to "Background Data" to turn it off.
3. Disable background data for all apps.If you want to disable background data for all apps, go to Settings > Cellular, then tap on "Cellular Data Options." Under "Background Data," tap the toggle switch to turn it off.
4. Use a data manager app.There are a number of data manager apps available in the App Store that can help you track your data usage and restrict background data usage. Some popular data manager apps include DataMan, My Data Manager, and Onavo Extend.
5. Contact your carrier.If you're still having trouble restricting background data usage, you can contact your carrier. They may be able to help you identify the apps that are using the most data in the background and help you restrict their data usage.
