Hard Reset an iPhone 5s

Step 1: Power off the iPhone 5s

* Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button located on the top right-hand side of the iPhone 5s.
* Keep holding the Sleep/Wake button until the "slide to power off" slider appears on the screen.
* Slide the slider to the right to turn off the iPhone 5s.

Step 2: Enter Recovery Mode

* Connect the iPhone 5s to a computer using the provided USB cable.
* Press and hold the Home button on the front of the iPhone 5s.
* While continuing to hold the Home button, connect the iPhone 5s to the computer.
* Keep holding the Home button until the iTunes logo appears on the iPhone 5s screen.

**Step 3: Restore the iPhone 5s using iTunes**

* Once the iPhone 5s is in Recovery Mode, iTunes will automatically detect it.
* iTunes will display a message asking if you want to "Restore" or "Update" the iPhone 5s.
* Click "Restore".
* iTunes will download the latest iOS software and restore the iPhone 5s to its factory settings.

Step 4: Set up the iPhone 5s

* Once the restore is complete, the iPhone 5s will restart and display the "Set Up" screen.
* Follow the on-screen instructions to set up the iPhone 5s, including setting up a language, region, Wi-Fi network, and Apple ID.
