To Factory Reset Your Xbox One:Method 1: Using the Xbox One Settings1. Press the
Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
2. Navigate to

Factory reset >
Reset and remove everything.
4. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the reset process.
**Method 2: Using the Troubleshoot Menu (If You Can't Access the Settings)**
1. Turn off your Xbox One.
2. Press and hold the
Power and
Eject buttons simultaneously.
3. Continue holding down the
Power button until you hear a beep (about 10 seconds).
4. Release the
Power button, but continue holding down the
Eject button.
5. When the
Xbox Reset Troubleshooter screen appears, navigate to
Factory reset >
Reset and remove everything.
6. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the reset process.
**Method 3: Using a USB Drive (If Your Xbox One Won't Boot)**
1. Format a USB drive to FAT32.
2. Create a text file named
$SystemUpdate on the USB drive.
3. Leave the text file empty and save it.
4. Insert the USB drive into your Xbox One.
5. Turn on your Xbox One.
6. Your Xbox One will automatically start the factory reset process.
