The singular is obviously
foot, and the plural is usually
feet, but when
you are using it as a compound modifier,
you use the singular. For example,
you would
say that Squiggly climbed a tree that was 10
feet tall.* But
you don't
say Squiggly ran up a 10-
feet tree--
you say Squiggly ran up a 10-
foot tree.
