Polydactyly or polydactylism (from Greek -ЦϦ-?? (polys), meaning 'many', and --?-ʦӦԦ˦-? (daktylos), meaning 'finger'), also known as hyperdactyly, is a congenital physical anomaly in humans, dogs, and cats having supernumerary fingers or toes.
Polydactyly is the opposite of oligodactyly (fewer fingers or toes).
