3. The Setup Statement: This involves a positive affirmation that includes the issue and a statement of self-acceptance. For example, "Even though I feel anxious about this situation, I deeply and completely accept myself."
4. Tapping the Karate Chop Point: While repeating the setup statement, the individual taps on the karate chop point, which is located on the side of the hand.
5. Tapping the Sequence: After the setup, the individual proceeds to tap on a specific sequence of points on the body, starting from the top of the head and moving down to the bottom of the chin.
6. Repeating the Process: The tapping sequence is repeated two or three times, often while continuing to focus on the emotional issue.

Checking the Intensity: After the initial round of tapping, the individual checks the intensity of the emotional distress again to see if there has been a reduction.

Continuing Until Desired Results: The process is continued until the emotional distress is significantly reduced or eliminated.
